Well folks one decent result against Laois in a mucky rathdowney and a loss by three points to Tipp last Sunday.
What are our expectations this year. Stay in div one. League semi final or final, Leinster winners or all Ireland champions? All view welcome.

How do ye think Egan will get on this season? Egan is a really good appointment Spent time with Scariff in Clare and completely changed the direction of a side that was drifting at intermediate.

A Dub here, for my sins! Also a hurling fanatic. Fair play for setting up the forum, Skittles. We need some controversy to kick it off! Was Davy keeping Galvin and the footballers down? Have ye the population to compete at the top level at both? When I think Wexford, I think Martin Storey, Fenlon (a brilliant ground hurler), I think Liam Dunne, the men of 96. I was there. Mighty men! Good luck in the small ball this year👍

Any thoughts on Davy now that he's departed, been spurned by Galway and is working with the ladies of Cork.

To be fair we have to give him time. We probably should have put the game to bed on Saturday. Brennan making two good saves in the first half and been 8 points up with 10 to go. The plus so far no sweeper in the first three games and playing a decent brand of hurling. Paudie foley is looking very good at the moment as is his brother Oisin foley, scoring five points on cillian Buckley at weekend. Conor devitt is hurling hurling well Cornor back. Conor Mac seems to have found a new lease of life scoring 6 at the weekend. We had a lot of wides in both games I saw but it’s early days. And a lot of new players tried. It was one of my biggest faults with Davy was not trying players and was more or less the same players over the 5 years.
On Davy, he brought a bit of success to the county. It wasn’t the most attractive style but effective. It’s not that long ago Kilkenny bet us by 25 points in championship and looked like hurling in the county was dead between himself and Liam dunne a bit of pride has been brought back to the county. Funnily enough probably our two best performances for Davy we lost. That was in the semi final against tipp in 19 and Kilkenny last year ironically we lost both games.
Anyway thanks for joining folks hopefully we get a bit more traffic soon

A Kilkenny man here. First off fair play for setting up the forum and best of luck with it!
Wasn't at the match on Saturday but watched on the stream and was very impressed with Wexford. I thought there first touch was really good and they looked really sharp. Oisin Foley was excellent and absolutely cleaned Cillian Buckley out, it looks like Conor McDonald is really benefitting from the more direct style of play as well and I thought he was excellent on Saturday and got some unbelievable scores. Devitt the corner back looks like a good addition also.
For ourselves we were definitely second best for most of the game, but like the game against Laois finished strongly. As mentioned previously Buckley was very poor again and it'll be hard to see him getting too many more chances at this stage, Tommy Walsh was also very poor and if we are looking to move Huw Lawlor to centre back Tommy doesn't look like he'll be filling in the full back role. The positives for us was definitely Cian Kenny who looked really good at midfield and David Blanchfield who played really well when coming in off the bench.
The match on Saturday like all the Kilkenny/Wexford games over the last few years was a cracker and hopefully we can look forward to a few more KK/Wex games over the course of the year.

Some of the Wexford lads look in great shape to be fair the likes of Conor Mac, Paudie Foley etc.
Looking forward to the Dublin match as Dublin are never a easy match for Wexford!

What a shambles that was yesterday. Completely dropped the head when the first goal went in. Not that we were hurling well anyway. So many wides especially in the first half. I think we’re in big trouble if Paul Morris and Matt o Hanlon are starting championship. No pace and offer very little. We look very light and small. Mac was well off it and I couldn’t understand why he tries to take down the ball with the hurl every time. Maybe they had a tough week training I don’t know and looking ahead to limerick next week or maybe Dublin are much further ahead in their training program as they had good style and coordination about them.
